The Encuentro, founded by AFyL USA in 2018, promotes decolonial theory and praxis aimed at the advancement of human life in community and defense of the living cosmos.

2019 Conference

The inaugural meeting of the Philosophies of Liberation Encuentro was co-hosted by LMU and Casa 0101, a community arts center in Boyle Heights, on May 18th and May 19th, 2019.
